Thesis
Tanium runs a converged endpoint management and security platform (XEM) on a single agent and a linear-chain architecture that scales to very large endpoint fleets. The product is entrenched across US federal and Fortune 500 IT-operations buyers.
As a late-stage private, the question is timing and structure of an exit — and whether the converged ITOps/SecOps pitch holds against CrowdStrike on the security side and ServiceNow/Microsoft on the ITOps side.
Catalysts
- IPO window reopening for late-stage enterprise software
- Federal renewals and expansion under continued zero-trust mandates
- Cross-sell from endpoint management into security modules
- Strategic interest from larger platform vendors
