Thesis
Navitas is a fabless wide-bandgap power-semiconductor company — gallium nitride (GaNFast) plus silicon carbide (GeneSiC) — positioned for AI data-center power, including the industry's move toward 800V high-voltage DC distribution, where it has a high-profile collaboration with NVIDIA. The technology is proven and the fabless model carries high gross-margin potential at scale.
The open question is scale itself. Trailing revenue is only about $40M against a multi-billion-dollar market cap (on the order of 150× sales), and roughly 59% of revenue flows through a single AI-infrastructure distributor. This is the highest-beta way to play AI power: large upside if it converts the design pipeline into volume, severe downside on the concentration and valuation if the ramp disappoints.
Catalysts
- 800V HVDC data-center design-ins converting to volume
- Revenue scale versus the current ~$40M base
- Customer / distributor diversification
- Path toward profitability on the fabless model
