Hugging Face is the default hub for open machine-learning models and datasets — the "GitHub of AI" — hosting the open-weight ecosystem and the libraries (Transformers, Diffusers) most of the field builds on. Its LeRobot effort extends the same open-platform role into robotics foundation models.
The investment case is owning the distribution and collaboration layer for open AI, a strategic position that compounds with every model released on the platform.
